A shop owner running Google Ads for his electronics store in Rohini came to us with a familiar complaint: the ad manager showed hundreds of clicks a week, the budget was getting spent on schedule, and the sales count barely moved. This is the most common ticket we get from anyone already spending on ads — and almost every time, the ad isn't the problem.
Clicks measure interest. Sales measure trust plus ease. An ad can do a perfect job of the first and the page it lands on can quietly fail at the second, and from inside the ad dashboard everything still looks fine — impressions up, clicks up, cost-per-click reasonable. The leak happens one screen later, where most people never look.
A click is a promise. The landing page has to keep it in under three seconds.
We ran this pattern against a dozen local ad accounts we've audited over the past year. The shape is almost always the same — a wide funnel at the top narrowing hard right after the click, then narrowing again at checkout:
That drop between "landing page opened" and "product viewed" is where most local ad budgets quietly die. Someone clicked, the page took four seconds to load on their mobile data, and they were back on Instagram before your store ever rendered. No amount of extra ad spend fixes a gap that happens after the click.
Ninety percent of the "fix my ads" conversations we have never end with changing the ads. They end with fixing the page underneath them. Mobile load time, whether the price and delivery info are visible without scrolling, whether checkout asks for ten fields when three would do, whether cash on delivery is offered for the buyers who don't trust prepaying a store they just found — these decide whether a click becomes a sale far more than which ad headline you used. This is part of why we treat Google Ads management and on-page conversion work as one job, not two separate services handed to two different vendors who never talk to each other.
We also check something that's easy to miss: whether the page the ad links to actually matches what the ad promised. An ad showing a ₹499 product that links to a general category page, not that exact product, loses a huge share of clicks right there — the person came for one thing and landed somewhere they have to search again to find it.
Send us your ad account and the page it links to — we'll tell you honestly where the leak is before you spend another rupee. Studio: Rohini Sector-21, Delhi - 110086. Phone +91-8368109855.
